I specialize in business planning, marketing planning, and financial planning for startups and growth for both, for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations. I can help develop a plan for online (digital media) strategy, such as website, email and social media. I am good at helping you test the feasibility of a business idea or a project. I am a retired strategic planner from Chemical and Refining industry with a Chemical Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin. I am also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). I began my career as a Chemical Engineer but moved to the business side working in many different functions: economic optimization, major projects coordination, profit planning and analysis, business process redesign, marketing, product management, business management, and business planning. I retired as the Director of Corporate Strategic Planning with experience in Mergers and Acquisitions. In addition to helping "for profit" businesses, I also work with non profit organizations to help them start and grow successfully and operate effectively. Here are major areas of expertise: Mentoring: Helped entrepreneurs do a quick feasibility of their business idea to make a go/no-go decision. Helped them develop a believable business plan before starting their business. Helped in-business clients diagnose root causes for low growth/profitability and suggested corrective actions through better message development, marketing and financial planning. Non profit Creation and growth: Helped people identify the steps necessary to start a successful non profit through business planning, needs assessment and programs design. Worked with established non profits to review and update mission, vision, strategies; developed overarching goals and sub-goals, and followed them up by creating an execution plan with measurable objectives and specific action plans. Strategic Planning:Developed a new Planning and Execution Process. Facilitated strategic analysis of many business units in chemical industry. Worked on several acquisitions and mergers. The work involved industry analysis to identify targets, analysis of assets, valuation of businesses and integration of business processes, cultures and people. Marketing and Business Management: Functions managed included business management marketing, production planning, customer service, performance analysis reporting. Business Process Redesign: Worked on teams to develop global work processes, especially after M A; helped redesign business processes and reorganize functions. Worked on the initial implementation of SAP, an enterprise resource planning system.
